Yamato Alloy Low/High Beryllium Copper

Our company handles both low and high beryllium copper!

Low beryllium copper varies in its properties and applications depending on the beryllium content, but this alloy has the lowest beryllium content among them, containing about 0.2 to 0.4%. Beryllium copper alloy 25 has the highest strength and hardness among copper alloys.

[New Development/New Product] Beryllium Copper BeCuB11-ESHT/EHT

High conductivity material with high strength and high hardness, beryllium copper. New material for semiconductor test probe pins and connectors.

Beryllium copper is a copper alloy with various characteristics, including strength, conductivity, formability, fatigue properties, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, non-magnetism, and improved hardness through heat treatment. It possesses strength and hardness comparable to stainless steel, while also having relatively high conductivity, making it one of the most outstanding performers among copper alloys. Among these, the 25 alloy (C1720), which excels in strength and hardness, is widely used, while the 11 alloy is utilized for applications requiring conductivity. In particular, in applications such as connectors and switches where formability, strength, and fatigue properties are crucial, as well as in probe pin applications where hardness and conductivity are emphasized, there is a trend towards miniaturization and thin-walling of components. Given the extensive track record and frequent use of beryllium copper in high-strength materials, it is expected to be a popular choice. This time, we introduce a new 11 alloy that offers higher strength and hardness than the conventional 11 alloy, while providing better conductivity than the 25 alloy. Additionally, while traditional beryllium copper requires heat treatment, this new alloy is heat-treated, eliminating the need for further heat treatment (it has high dimensional stability). Beryllium copper BeCuB11-ESHT/EHT is a product developed for probe pins and connectors. For more details, please download the materials and contact us.
